For domestic heating and fuel use wood pellets are subject to a reduced VAT rate of 5%. If purchased for any other domestic use, (such as animal bedding / cat litter) or for business use a 20% VAT rate is applicable.
Please note: Our quoted prices on the website include VAT charged at 5%. On the checkout page we will ask you to confirm that you are ONLY using wood pellets for the purpose of domestic heating.
